I've been using Nerovision 4 (Nero Premium 7) for a little while now, mainly i've been using it to put wrestling video files onto DVD's, and until now have had no problems... Now with 2 specific files (Havent had this happen again yet) nerovision gets hung up during transcoding. During the first one, a .wmv file, it hung up at a point in the vodeo where the picture freezes for a few seconds in Media player but plays fine after that. The second file, an .avi with DIVX coding, did the same thing. Played fine, transcoded almsot all the way and then hung, again where the video freezes for a moment. Beyond momentary freezes there video's have nothing in common, also I'm not getting an error, the transcoding process just freezes solid while everything else still works. But after this, if I try and about the process, it gives me the confirmation and then Nerovision locks up, have to use System Manager to end task. Any ideas?
Sounds like you need to run the file through a video repair tool. There are several. I can not really recommend one over the other. Google for one. Most offer shareware version to test. May even find a freeware version as the repair don't sound like it would be to intense.
