Hi ADSignIn Looks like your biggest problem is that HP Media. Your drive only see that it's: Media type: DVD+R9 Double Layer. Usually the manufacturer info is listed there. The firmware on your drive is update too - so no help there for the drive to recognize these better. For dual layer only use Verbatim. Hasn't been around as long as single layer but Verbatim are the ones that started making it and have since perfected it. The other manufacturers like probably the one HP uses are newer to this market and not always compatible w/ most drives. I'll request the other thread closed too.
