nes emulator using game genie codes

    i am such a noob,
    i got an xbox and it has all the mods and software
    but i want to use the game genie that is in my nes folder
    i can access the input screen and i can input codes but,from ther i am lost.
    also i see proaction replay in the folder can i use that?how do acess it ?
    i can find it in the folder but i can not see it on the list of games?

    I don't know what emulator you are using but the nes emu I use has the game genie built in. Read the readme that came with the software.

    thank you,but i looked at all the text that was on the roms list and it does not say how to use it,just the spec. and the emu name (FCEUltraX).like i said i can put in the codes but get lost from there.....but thank you ,can anybody else help?

    once you put the codes in are you enabling them and then restarting the game.

    ok i must be the biggest airhead.....i in put the codes and pushed the start button...and nothing
    so i in put the codes and pushed the black button to exit the screen and tried to play dragon warrior and the codes did not go into effect
    so i am lost.i have the orignal and remember how it worked you just put in the code pushed start and the game would start with the codes in effect.
