Ok so ive recently got virgin broadband (Great). free wireless router etc,easy setup balh blah. Anyways i only really use my computer for 2 things mainly well 3 if you count endless forum posting looking for advice. Gaming And uTorrent... well torrents. So i want toport forward my Ip,i went to portforward.com and im looking at the guide. my problem is about the staic I.P. ~I would love fast connection speeds when playing my online games and torrents. but am worried about this staic I.P Fiasco. Im running Windows XP aswell just to let you guys now. my question is,is it risky to make a static ip. Im extremely scared of following the guide on Portforward.com and fudging up my connection for good. Anyone had sucess? Any feedback much appreciated thank you xDanx
I already answered a similar question on this forum look at this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/683966 As I said, its safe to choose static Ip and no, it wont ruin your connection, even if you do any change you do on your router its totally reversible.
