Network box takes forever to load? Vista

    I got a new laptop and it worked well for a while. Whenever I go to the "connect to a wireless network" the box with all the connections just takes FOREVER to load. Its not there are no connections its just the the box is white and will not load. Anyone know why/ experiencing the same problem?

    What are your specs? Are you running vista ultimate, home premium, or basic?

    home premium with a sony vaio dual core 1.8 with 1 gb of memory

    Its the 1gig of ram you have. I know this because when I got to Best Buy or whatever, I look at the computers that they have on display and compare the exact same ones, one with 1GB of ram and another with 2. The one with 2 never lags, the start menu opens without any lag at all.

    You should get another gig of ram.
