I just want to find out information on the network card connection to the DBOX. I just bought a network card for my desktop PC today from Currys (Item description link below). I just need to know if this was the correct network card to purchase for me to connect to the DBOX2. Do you think i would also need a router to connect to the DBOX2.

Would appreciate any help on this. Thanks

    Currys Network card

as your purchased a wireless network adapter then you will need to purchase a wireless router that has a switch/hub built in.. dont pay more than 30 quid and no need to go for them fancy 1GB ones as the DBox only connects at 10 mb half duplex

why did you buy a wireless network usb adapter/dongle?

cant do anything with that for the dbox mate you needed a network card not a wireless adapter take it back to currys and get your money back pronto

    and get this instead http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Realtek-RTL81...9QQihZ017QQcategoryZ51195QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

plug it into your pc get your crossover cable http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Crossover-Cat...0QQihZ017QQcategoryZ57188QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

then plug one end into your network card and one into the dbox

    and follow the guide again

zapp whats the point in paying out over 30 for one when you can get a network card and the cable for under £6

no need for a router at all absolutelty not nessacry

Thanks a lot for the help and replies. I made a mistake as i thought A Network card was a Wireless card. I already got an input for the ethernet cable so i dont have to buy it from Ebay.

    Thanks again
