ok My bro has the Moddom and Network in his room was woundering i use usb wireless to my PC. and when i use it seems normal but hes seems faster he uses the cable/Lan wire Note we both use sharing program / but not all the time. and when he uses it i cant surf the net slow but he can use the net with a normal speed is he doing somthing to the network for i can get less bandwith? if thats how you call it.. usb is 108mbps Cable/Lan is 100 why is it that i get 54mbps? =/ and the lan get 100? they told me the network give 54mbps but then why dose the LAn say it get100? and my usb wl gets 54? Oh and i heard that the wireless should take more better bandwith then lan/cable my laptop did... but what im trying to say is can he modify the amount of MBps speed that gose thro my usb wireless?
their is a difference between what the wireless and wired speeds could be and what they are in reality. wired will always be faster. you cant surf fast becasue everytime you do something on the web, your computer has to navigate that data through walls and open air to the network router. The best advice i can say is if you dont have a strong signal, get some extension antennas or get a high speed booster to boost the signal. Otherwise, thats what you pay for. its great going wireless but its just not as fast.
