I have an unsecured network that i wouds like to put a password on. I have done it in the past, but due to conflicts, i had to reset my router. I have a Dlink 614 router (dinosaur), and now when i set a password, i can get into my network with my laptop, also with my ipad, but the main home pc cannot connect, just keeps searching for network. I have searched and searched google and im guessing this problem is with my home pc wireless or tcp / ip settings, but after trying several solutions, i have just settled for an unsecure network. I run XP for an OS, any help would be great.

Not sure about XP, but in the scan window, click "Change order of preferred networks". Remove your ssid from the list and next time when you try to connect, it should prompt for the password...
