this might be a dumb question, but i just bought my xbox today and i want to know how to stream my pc's music on my xbox, what do i need? i have a router can i use that?
You can use a router if you need to, but all you have to do is plug an ethernet cable from your PC to your Xbox 360. You have to have Microsoft Media Connect on your PC to sync it to your 360.
The router should be connected to your cable or DSL modem and then your 360 and PC should be individually plugged into the router. This will allow you to browse the internet on your PC, play xbox live on your 360, and have your PC and 360 connected to share media.
