networking 2 WinXp PC's

    im trying to conect a pc to my main pc by a red i think its a crossover cable we have run the setup Wizards and that says its been sucessfully completed i can get the internet on the host pc but on the client pc it says Limited or no connectivity.
    Could anyone help me solve this My modem Router is NB5

    Check the IP numbers on both of the computers. If they are the same I don't think you can get the internet on both at the same time.

    could get a router to get both computers on the net unless you are using dialup

    i agree with ddp i have a router connecting both pcs allowing me to share files and internet its cool.
