Networking and Pc Performance

Hi all was just wondering if anyone could or would be kind enough to help me as i am ready for smashing my pc with a really big hammer lmao. 2 problems really so here goes

Problem 1: -
I am running a AMD Anthlon 64 3.5+ Processor, 1 GB Dual channel ram, Maxtor 6L160M0 (150GB), Radeon x800 256 PCI and Windows XP Pro SP2. I can run the latest games like Battlefield 2 on medium setting quite easy without any slowdowns etc but when it comes to Farcry Low is the best setting i can get!!!! Is this the Graphics card??

Problem 2: -
I have the worlds worst router i think( Well its always better to blame the hardware and not yourself :/) I have a Belkin F5D7630UK4A router and i cant play Battlefield 2 online!! Been to www.portforward.com and they say my router cant open up enough ports to play it online. SO really just asking how i open up all the ports on my router EVERY PORT lol and then not worry about opening ports again just let my firewall sort it. So need a idiots guide because ports and all that rubbish i know nothing about.

So if anyone could please help and sorry if something like this has been posted but got tired after looking beyond page 50 not 156 pages......... WAY TOO MANY. Keep up the good work all
