    go to start/run and type whatever the ip address is on the other computer you are trying to connect to.

    Example:
    //192.168.1.100

    Also, do you have a shared folder?

    Nah...just been quit busy. Sorry to leave you hang'n

    To check your what your IP is there are a few different ways.

    One way is;

    1. start/run type cmd, now type ipconfig and hit enter, from there it will give you your IP address, Subnet mask and default gateway.

    2. start/control panel/network connections now go to your local area connection and highlight it, from there off to your left in the details box it will also give you your ip address as well.

    I will keep an eye out for this thread so ask away for any other questions.

    okay so i tried start/run put in ip of ethernet computer.....windows can't find
    if i go to cmd and ping the ip.....it finds it.....if i try pinging it with the name of the computer it doesn't find it

    however for the wireless computers that i have already networked i can ping the name of the computer and i can access the computers

    what next?
