I have succesfully backed up around 200 titles on Verbatim 16X DVD+R's. I took a little time off and came back to backup a few more. When I was burning a soda can fell off my desk and a little ran down the front of my PC. I immediately opened the drives and wiped them clean with a wet rag and the cover and such. But ever since I have been expieriencing pixelation that freezes my DVD's on at least three of my last 20 movies. The movies are The Wraith, Wildthings and Stand By Me. Since Stand By Me is the latest it happens the scene following them waking up in the woods when they are talking about flinching and punching each other in the arm. 63:34 into the movie. However on the movies I can usually rewind back a few seconds and the pixelation will not be there again. I thought once Pixelation always pixelation but I guess not. I mean I made sure as soon as I spilt to wipe the thing down really good what the hell is the problem? Looks like I might have to get a new drive or something.
moisture and static electricity are the worst on a pc or any electronics.good luck. ive bought many keyboards because of soda, and other beverages.
Could it be multi-tasking while burning that causes it? How about pausing the encoding process of DVD Shrink?
Hey buddy, don't worry about it, we all, at times, have a tendency to read things too quickly, in fact, I recently did that also, and totally did not answer the members question. Best regards, Rich
