I wanted a new copy of norton antivirus 360 or norton antivirus 2009 edition but I could never get a legitimate product key for it to work with. I would appreciate for one but I dont want to get reported and have my post deleted. Shhhhh. Moving on, since theres no norton for me, is there any FREE and GOOD antivirus software out there for windows that has all the specs and tools. Something like norton or better ? Let me know please. No response, well I researched, so from your prospective, whats the best free antivirus out there, AVG, AVIRA or AVAST ? Some people say its avira while others say its avast so i havent made up my mind yet, I need one of them, for me so whats more dependable ? Thanks again to anyone who respond back

It is very light on resources and the detection rate of viruses and rootkits is outstanding. However, it does not include antispyware protection (use spywareblaster) or e-mail scanning; they are only available in the paid version. The lack of an e-mail scanner just means that AntiVir won't warn you of infected emails before you open them. However, should you open an infected email; AntiVir will still spring into action, so it doesn't mean that you're not protected from email-based infections.
