    Hey,

I got some good help last time from here :)

    1) I want to confirm that all of these are compatible.

    2) The purpose is to run in Linux with Windows VMs and some gaming.
I don't want to pay insane prices for DDR5, so DDR4 it is.
The GPU should be compatible on PCIe 4.0.

    3) I think that I could be replaced the 850W with 750W or maybe even 650W. Specs for the GPU is 180W and recommend 600W PSU.

    4) The list picker says that the Water cooler compatible with the motherboard and chassis, but it's difficult to fully estimate.

    5) If there's any major updates I can do for similar cost components.

    Thanks

The Corsair Nautilus link didn't link to it, but I was able to locate it, no opinion yet.

Something to consider is if you're going to be gaming, is SSD durability which is measured by its number of write cycles (TBW), before the drive fails. If you're going to be playing online games which updates often then the higher the number of write cycles on the drive the better. I looked up the corsair drive you listed and it's rated for 1200 Terabytes Written (TBW) which is pretty decent. That's it for now.

I'm not intending to play online games other than maybe Counter-Strike here and there. Most of my gaming is single player and generally installed on an external HDD/SDD unless there's too much graphical problems.

I generally trust Samsung more for SDD but they are so expensive :\

    Thanks for review.

    Replacing the GPU for
    [IMG]
ASUS PRIME-RTX5070-O12G PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Graphics Card.

12GB instead of 16GB but at least uses all 16 lanes of the PCIe.

so... how do I use the SPDIF?

The MB has the headers but no SPDIF outputs.

My speakers are Logitech Z906. Found the 6 channel cable, I guess that will have to do if I can't find a solution that doesn't involve USB.

I do have a USB to SPDIF for a mini PC, but I would rather use the onboard one... how do I go about that. ATX cases don't seem to have or at least hard to find.

get the spdif cable that goes from those mb headers to the backend or frontend of the tower from that motherboard supplier or off ebay/amazon. I did that for the usb 3 ports that I needed for my motherboard that has the header but not for the front of the tower.

Some of the Samsung SSDs, particularly the 980 Pro model, have experienced high failure rates, especially in the 2TB version, often leading to issues like unreadable sectors and data loss. The most important thing for an SSD is to look for reliability, the TBW rating is crucial as it indicates how much data can be written to the SSD before it starts to fail.

    Ordered, everything compatible.

ASUS RAM is purposely misconfigured by default in the BIOS...
No physical manuals or drivers provided...

Tons of shenanigans in Linux to get stuff working. Tried Linux in 2000 and it is still a pain 25 years later to get stuff working.
