im using a d-link wireless router and receiver on my brothes custom made computer, but they wont work. The router seems to be working fine however even when i follow the instructions to the letter it wont receive the signal. Tech support suggested a problems with my motherboard but im not sure.

Is your receiver a card or something you plug in to a USB port?

I was just thinking that if you have a card and they think their is someting wrong with the motherboard USB one would be the way to go. A USB port is easier to test than a receiver card.

Have your tested the wireless on a different computer?

Are you sure you have enough of a signal to connect from the location of the computer?

Just putting some ideas out there. I just went wireless 4 months ago after coming home from school. I bought a computer for school and my parents didn't want to run a wire upstairs to my room so I went with wireless.
