I just ordered dish network today and was wondering , how do i go about getting all channels open... Im not sure if i need to flash the box and program the keys or what. I have been doing a little reading on this and thought it would be best to just ask. Is this possible with a paid subscription and if so what is the first step i should follow after getting my box model.. please give me a hand on this Jerry. or someone.. I tried the search and im still unsure.. Thanks in advance
With the sub box you cannot get other than what you pay for. You can, however, disconnect the sub box and hook up a fta box to the dish, program it and get all the channels.
Thanks, so what you are saying is that I should just by an fta box? what is the best box to get ? and from where? thanks again.
I did a little searching , and i had a few more questions.. i have a regular dish network dish, if i purchased the pansat2700a would i be able to get all the dish network channels or would i need to buy another ish also. just trying to figure out if this dish on my roof is going to help me any.
You will be able to use the dish on the roof. The pansat is a rather older stb. I personally have a viewsat ultra. It is one of the easiest stb's to set up there is. From the time to opening the box and watching tv was about 20 minutes. You can get some good reviews at http://www.totalfta.com/ Viewsat has some of the best support out there.
Ok , trhanks , which one would you rec.. i chose that one because of the price and it came with the bin file already installed, looking to spend around $150
