New DVD FW in Dev/Test - iXtreme LT (Lite Touch)

This is why I'm in IT. Apparently my stupd Calc doesnt' work.... those numbers are nuts.

 

Question........I have not been banned yet. I did do the update from late October. A friend of mine told me he had been banned, so I checked mine and still no ban. I immediately unplugged the ethernet cord and have not been back online since. However, I have used the activate.iso to play GTA offline. I am still running IX 1.6 on a BenQ. I am going to wait until lite touch is ready before reflashing. My question is, will using the activate.iso disc offline have any bearing on me getting banned once I reflash? Thanks in advance.

 

We don't know. We don't know what MS are checking for, when they are checking for it or if the checks are handled by the OS since the last update, or if you need to be connected to live for them to query your drive while you're online. We don't know whether or not booting the activate.iso has any bearing on any of that other stuff that we don't know. Maybe your 360 is just waiting for you to hook it up to the internet again to transfer the info to MS. Maybe not. Maybe you're already banned and you don't know it because you haven't connected in a while.

We just don't know.

 

lol thanx for the backup, 30million PLUS because more are always getting banned...not to mention i would have been paying for the next 5 years, THATS 150MILLION DOLLARS +++!!!

 

All in all though i would think we've won financially against m$ think:

1,000,000 modders whom own say 20 "games" each

well if they bought say 10 of those from the store for $60 a pop thats $600 for 10

600 x 1 million= $600,000,000

Unfourtanetly ms doesnt make all games and they dont lose nearly that much but those are just minimal figures for most people have far more than 10 games and i bet theres more than 1,000,000 modded drives. Good thing i only make backups of my originals

wait for LT to arrive, then flash that to your drive and then format your hard drive before you go on live and you should be ok.also clear the cache too.

 

Ye im gonna do this on the modded box thats never been online and try my luck if i get banned its no biggie, im already over the other 360 getting hit lol

 

so are ALL modded 360's getting banned or are there still ALOT out there unbanned?

 

are you sure that's accurate? what if m$ started flagging systems in earlier updates, and only acted (banned) on the latest update? if there's even a small chance of that happening then i would say it's not safe to mod any system right now.

Probably a silly question, but could you clear up for me if Ixtreme LT will basically play ALL games coming out, regardless of Wave 4, 5 etc??

I understand it may let you go online without getting banned, but currently I cant even play the new games since this Wave business kicked off (I know you can get boot discs etc but couldnt get that to work)

 

LT FW will ignore all wave games up-to-date & all future waves. Stealth check will also be ignored. However, it will be up to user as to how to remain safe though. By this it means burning the games right & checking everything through abgx.

 

I did not know that. I guess this is a good and bad thing for a lot of people.

 

Can't wait. Now I'll be able to play Xbox 1 games with the Lite-On drive.

 

the safe way to find out is call and say your console has RROD. if they offer you repair then you are GOLD. if they say you have been banned. well ur boned the next moment your console gets near internet.

I've been going through my ISOs and disks attempting to prepare them for the newer firmware, but have a few that I get a:

Is this going to be an issue, and if so, how would one go about repairing it? A new rip? Something else?

Just want to have my entire library ready to go on the new firmware when it hits.

 

if you want to make sure your not flagged call M$ or go to xbox live and check warranty status. if u get warranty ur good.
