Sorry toffee I know from your pms that it is definitely a signal problem at you end. I thought the Konig booster with slope control would allow you to manually attenuate the signal. Usually works in most cases.

You could also try to remove the isolator from the white VM box, although I never recommend leaving the supply without an isolator for safety reasons.

As you said the VM engineer said your signal is "overpowered", (his words not mine), and he used dual attenuators to rectify the problem. Well you could say your subbed box is still showing problems and could he move you down line in the cab.

Bulk prices 20 for £1300 so should be quite good even at individual pricing, around £80 RRP. One reason they have been developed is to be more competitive ;)

Dont give up toffee, every signal problem can be fixed ;) A subbed isnt affected as much by SNR/BER than the "other" boxes. But you should get it right if VM know what they are doing :)

    seems a very competitive price,

running out of places to put em now so i'll have to leave this one alone unless they have made it waterproof and works ok in a bathroom.
    :)

There's no led display its an eliptical glow a bit like neon, theres no buttons on the front so if you lose or break your remote it'll be a bit of a pain. There is no rf output or antenna input either so a bugger to split to another room. Your current max v is a better unit this is a cheap option and works great for what it is.

    Nice description scOuser..
I just got The EX1000SL, looks nice firmware easy to install, having problems with the EMM capture menu! can't get into it the normal way i.e. MENU-LANGUAGE-1968 to show the secret emm capture menus to enable them. have you any ideas on how to access this area...
any help is good and appreciated.

    Regards

    joel

Looks nice but I think your better off buying an EX5000. PVR.At least you have the option of getting a hard drive later on if you want.
