Wanting a new pc my old p4 3.ghz almost 5 years old now wont play latest games. so far this is what i have come up with. ASUS P5SD2-VM £38.00 INTEL E7300 Core 2 Duo - 2.66 GHz, Cache L2 3 MB Socket 775 £89.30 BFG GeForce 9500GTG Graphics Card 73.39 memry ? hared drive ? case ? wanting to play crisis, call off duty 4,5 etc help please
That's a horrifically overpriced graphics card, 9500GTs aren't even worth £40. You've also chosen a very poor motherboard. This is the specification I would recommend to play Crysis at all well: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145668 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131950 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148468 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146918 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/124228 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143854 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131052
Then you're not going to be able to play Crysis that well. A PC on that budget will run Call of Duty 4 / World at War with relatively high graphics settings, but Crysis will have to be reduced severely to run on a system of that budget. Here's my revised parts list: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148802 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148715 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150349 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130429 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/124228 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143854 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/120375 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/151999 That comes to around £370 including delivery.
That would be a sweet build with the specs sammorris gave you, you'll love the Sapphire Radeon 4850 if you decide on going with that.. Also the Gigabyte-EP45-DS3 is a serious overclocker with a nice stable bios, i have the EP45-UD3P running a Q9550 Kensington and i couldn't be happier, it's smokin fast...
sammorris, i remember you suggested the Sapphire 4850 on a previous thread and i took your advice and made the switch from a EVGA 8800GTX, this thing runs circles around my 8800GTX... The perfomance you get from the 4850 for under 200 bucks is simply incredible..
Damn, i could have bought the 4870.. The card i bought was from Frys and it was the Visiontek HD 4850 for $199... They didn't have the Sapphire on there, that sucks for me..
