I have just purchased Gigabyte W1616B burner. I already have a LG 4x burner and a Pioneer DVD Rom drive. I disconnected the Pinoeer drive and replaced it with the new Gigabyte and used the existing cables that connected the Pioneer. Now when I reboot PC windows XP only recognises the LG burner and not the new one. Also when I put the Nero cd that came with new burner into existing LG burner I get error message something like procedure entry point could not be found. Any ideas what I have done wrong. As you can tell I am new at this..this is the first time I have ever had a go at installing any new hardware so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

you need to change the pins on the burner to make sure one is master and one is slave. if you are running off one cable ribbion

On the back of the new burner will be a set of pins, Master, Slave and something else (I'm old and can't remember) any how you will need to make one of the devices a master and the other a slave, the paper work that came with new burner should shed some light on it for yah!!

    Hope this helps.
