I have the same problem. I followed the burning instructions. The disc seems to have burned fine, but when I put it in my 360 it says "play game" so I select it and I get "Urecognized Disc".

    My 360 is flashed to LT+ 3.0. Dash: 2.0.14719.0
My burner was just recieved from eBay, already flashed with Burner Max.
My ImgBurn version is 2.5.4.0 maybe that's the problem.
Updated ImgBurn to 2.5.7.0 and will try again.
In the meantime, any other suggestions.

Hi guys I have a Sony viao laptop and am going to purchase a lite-on iHas124b burner pre-flashed,now I need this to work externally as I carnt fit this in my laptop and I already have a dual layer re-writer installed but it is a matsui I think, now I have been told that I can just buy a caddy and make it external this way, will my laptop recognise the external burner or will I need to do something in my laptop somewhere to make it recognise it.
Just making sure I know all info before I purchase thanks

You can never 100% guarantee these things, but technically it should work in an external enclosure if you connect it via USB.

hi, im a rookie about burning this new XGD3 games since i havent done it since waves 3 or 4.
I have the 1st xbox360 of all with the 20gb harddrive and with an hitachi driver flashed with the LT3.0 already. (banned ofcourse)
I burned FIFA12, FIFA street and Sniper Elite v2 with any problem using abgx and imgburn. All of them playable
Now I wanted to burn forza4, MW3, Max payne3, and I tried doing it using imgburn (calculate optimal layerbreak and truncate) and also clone cd by the same way.
I?ve sent to the garbage 3 DL?s already? what stupid mistake am I doing, can anyone help me?
    Thanks !

Yeah, I have done tons of LT3.0 XGD3's , then I updated to latest Imgburn, and suddenly NOTHING WORKS!! AND I MEAN NOTHING!!! No matter what media, What drive, what PC,what settings or what version of Imgburn, I ALWAYS HAVE FAILS ONE WAY OR THE OTHER!!! Usually on the layer break, but sometimes on verify (also usually on the layer break) LightningUK keeps pointing to media, but I have DEFINATELY ruled that out (AFAIK, Tried many different spools of Ritek of varying ages, all of which have never had a problem, I always leave 3-5 in case I buy a bad batch which AFAIK has never happend Hell I've even tried singapore Verbs) WTF!?!? I suspect it's settings OR it may be that (put ur foil hats on ppl) that liteon has been lobbied by MS to kill ur burner-max FW with their online Hyper-Tunning, I have to separate Ihas, I have tried re-flashing (last step) both of them, but I checked against a dump, and FW matches, So it might be EEPROM, so next I am trying with brand new Ihas, and dumping eeprom after also, If anyone solves this PLEEEEASE post ur solution or settings or whatever (I have heard ppl have modded the FW to run 2.4x on riteks and upped the buffer etc.. I have tried part of this (minus the FW part)using the recommend cache settings to no avail, besides it doesn't make sense that one day it just stops working!!)
    Peace-out my brothers

Thanks, i've read it and i have one question about this:
    4. Burn any XGD3 games with a Burner Max burner. Use Verbatim discs for best results with all Xbox 360 backup games.

The only option for my xbox with the first hitachi with the LT2.0 to play the XGD3 games is to get a new dvd burner?

Yep. If you look at the info on c4evaspeaks.com, you'll see this info regarding your Hitachi drive when you click the little + icon next to the firmware info: -

Once you get a burner capable of being flashed with Burner Max, you can burn XGD3 games without truncating them.

i dowloaded witcher 2 SWAG . something torrent.. followed the full procedure on the thread.. got the game written to 100%
    1.the verify failed
2.tried the disc on the x box.. "shows the title and label on the dashboard" but if i run the game.. it says unrecognised disc everytime
3.i did not connect to x box live and its a relatively new Xbox modded to 2.0

    hi funksoulb,
i ran the iso in abgx 1.0.6 successfully.
then i burned it with my ihas 324b (flashed with burner max) successfully too.

I Set the layer break to "Calculate Optimal", I used verbatim MKM-003-00 discs and through image burn i enabled Online Hyper Tuning, hyper tuning,Smart Burn and disabled over speed writing ...i always clear opc history before burning the disc and burned the disc with 'opc before write' checked at 4x speed and 'burn proof' unchecked and buffer size 512 MB...

now, with these settings first I burned an XGD2 game it worked brilliantly, but when i did the same with XGD3 it worked about 5 minutes into gameplay and then it says disc read error or disc is scratched.

what should i do? … should i change my burn settings?

Your best bet is to download KProbe, do a scan of the disc that gives you the disc read error, and then post the results up here. That way I can see how good or bad the burn quality is.

You can download it here: -

    http://club.myce.com/f96/big-kprobe2-thread-93944/

When the scan is complete, click the little floppy disc icon (top right) to save a screenshot, then upload it to a free image hosting site and post it up here.

hi there. i was burning xdg3 games fine with my lite-on ihas124b burner using force hypertuning, was fine for months until other day it just keeps failing on verification at 50%, was wondering if you have any ideas what the problem could be?
