new hd

I'm trying to change the hard drive in my xbox that is modded with evox. I downloaded a program from e-mule that said evox new hd boot. It did nothing for the new hd. I tried it on the old one and I think I earased all its information. My question is, is it possible to boot the new hd with no information from the old one, and if so how. Someone please help!

 

ok do u have a modchip or a softmod????
also are u trying to upgrade hardrive or put another stock m$ hard drive into your system....

 

I believe I have a mod chip and I am trying to put a WD 250gb hard drive in

 

acually I must have a softmod because I removed the disk drive and did not see any chip
