Is it pos to install a new HDD through hotswap on a virgin console? ive got the stotic dash on a linux disc i made. so when im in the boot screen can i just put the disc in and put it all on a new HDD?
Why would you want to? M$ dash will not access all the other space, and you can't ftp to it or run other apps off of it. Whats the point of a HDD swap? If your intention is to build a stock console where the HDD had previously failed, there is a procedure, basically you start the softmod to gain access to the eeprom bin file and then do the do to swap the drive.
