So my dad finally decided to get a new TV for our living room (the current one is about 15years old).

I was taking a look at some LCD HD models but I'm not really an expert on this area.

Our budget is around 1400€ so please give me a few hints.

I was thinking about ordering from this site -> http://www.pixmania.com/pt/pt/59/xx/xx/8/3/criteresn.html

    Thx, Unleashed

Hello! aabbccdd is absolutely right; go and look at them first then read some non-biased reviews to make sure you've got more than just a good picture but one that will stay that way. Also, be very careful about the site from which you purchase...here in the U.S., many, if not most, sites are NOT authorized by the manufacturer...if they are, they will have the better business logo, manufacturer authorizations etc. usually prominentaly displayed right at the bottom of their homepage. (This has something to do with a quirk in the law differentiating between retailers and distributers.) If they say they are manufacturer authorized but you don't see it in the site, don't trust them. Sounds paranoid, I guess, but I've known a lot of guys who've been screwed this way; you're spending a lot of money so don't get suckered into taking such a huge risk for a $50.00 savings. Again, though, I don't know if that's the case where you live. Best of luck and happy viewing!
