hi all, i think ive made a boo boo on a new purchase :msnredface: i think i have ordered the wrong type. i dont seem to have any power supply on my pc to be able to connect it to the drive. i have this type of connection coming from my pc (image) http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/8395/mycableds4.gif and the cable that came with the drive is this one (image) http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/2900/satacablefq6.gif i am hoping that there is a way i can connect this drive to my pc.. sorry about the issues but its a xmas gift from my son and he chose it. hopefully there will be a cable i can purchase to be able to get it to work.. the drive is mention is an HP dvd1070i 20x SATA CD/DVD Writer with litescribe :thumbsup: hope i have explained it ok thanx all and merry xmas to every1 at afterdawn
the red cable is a sata data cable not the power cable. look on the power cables coming off the psu for a black connector that has 4 colored wires coming out of it, black, red, black & yellow in that order. what is the make & model# of your pc or motherboard?
