New Image for UK Virgin?

Hi Guys,

I've been away from the Dbox thing for a while cos my Dbox has just sat there doing what it does for 3 years. Just moved house and signed up with Virgin Media (in Reading UK).

Has anything changed? I take the sat cable from Virgins box and put it in to the Dbox, hit scan, but there are only the channels which are on the Virgin box available? Should I be flashing with a new image? What's the latest version? Anyone help? That'll teach me for not keeping my eye on the ball!

I also read somewhere that I may have to change my location on the Dbox?!!?

OK, an update from me..... Because there were so many responses!!! LOL!

I got hold of the Virgin+ v2.1 2x Nokia fta image and flashed it across. I then set my location and did a slow scan for channels.

But!!!!.... I still only get the channels which were available with my standard Virgin box????

Should there be more?

Anyone?......... please!!!

 

Dunno if this helps but i find, either lakey_pro or commando images the best (Obvi depending on your chip set )

 

Thanks Solo, have tried both of those images this evening, but still only get the same bunch of channels.

What kind of scan are you doing pal ? Full scan or a fast scan ... Why i ask is when i try and do a fast scan i only ever g et a few channels, and when i do a full scan i tend to pick the rest up.

 

It's a full slow scan. if I do a fast scan I get nothing.

It does bring back a possible 300 odd channels, but most of them just say something like waiting for EMG (or whatever the three letters are?!!) I have waiting for them to catch up, but still only get the channels which the Virgin box would give out.

 

i am also in the same boat, i use lakey pro image when scanning for channels it keeps saying waiting for emg, any help would be great,
