    Hey all,

I upgraded to a 400gb HD and all has been well until last night. I have around 203 games on my HD and they work fine. Last night I tried to put more games on and they went on fine but when I go to boot the new ones it just goes back to my dash after a few seconds. I have plenty of room on both my G and F partitions so I dont know what gives.
I can't figure out if it's the mod or the HD causing this.
I will say that I was trying to make XBMC my default dash not tt long before this started and couldn't get it to work so I put everything back the way it was and as I have said the games already on the HD play fine but when I add games they don't work.

Any ideas? I have cleared the CACHE may times and it doesn't help

I was thinking about reinstalling the soft mod but afraid of losing the games I have on F and G so I haven't done it yet.

Currently using Unleashedx, and no partitions bigger then 250GB if that helps

    Thx

Well, that doesn't make a lot of sense, but it could be that you didn't patch the games. You could try PPF-XBOXv07a. It's possible that you didn't copy them correctly, too. Did you check the directory to make sure all the files were copied? Did you press start on D: and say "Copy disc"? A lot of times, these problems are just user errors because we forget a step along the way.

When you copy games, some of them have .ini files that tell the game which directories to use. If you edit that and change the "D:\" to your game directory, it should fix things.

That reply doesn't make much sense either ;)

I guess you are back using evox.. ok.. so how have you put the games on the hdd? .. dvd2xbox is the approved method but sometimes it will not call the game what you are expecting. It will auto patch the game files to play from the hdd.. very few games need any specific hdd patching.. psychonauts is the only one I can think of offhand.

I guess that messing with xbmc (never a good plan on a softmod IMHO) has messed up some settings either in the dash or in your drive allocations.

Go into the dash/system settings and look for things.. specifically game region.. default or auto will boot 99% of properly ripped games.

If the copy process seemed to go fine, with no failed files and the games are auto adding themselves to the games menu then it must be a dash/region setting.
