i just got Verizon DSL, instead of my local cable company(charge way too much). so my question is they have a internet security suite which includes a spyware and virus protection, is it any good? i downloaded it and have a free trial for it, so i was just wondering if i should keep it or not? also comes with firewall, and a few other features. thanks.

This was a few years ago, but I used to work for a call center that handled Verizons internet tech support. Our supervisor told us that the security tools Verizon offers are crap, but that if any customer inquired about protection, we HAD to suggest it. The software MAY have gotten better by now, but I somehow doubt it.
