c4eva just was saying that a new jungleflasher will be coming out soon. That there are also a lot of improvements...

didn't elaborate on anything else yet atleast...

So we have good stuff to come.

Man don't make me lie. I really don't know it's kind of like a Helicopter should not work but just does.

As far as freezing goes, if people REALLY want to use JungleFlasher instead of DOS here's an idea to try,...my comp was freezing w/ Jungle Flasher, and I was doing a Benq drive today, well, the comp would freeze everytime the USB was plugged in with the Xtractor on. Well, I decided instead of going through DOS like last time, I decided to turn off the PC, turn the Xtractor to "on" instead of "off," and then boot the PC with the Xtractor in the on position (instead of waiting for Windows to boot before kicking it on or plugging in the USB). Just make sure your USB cable is already connected, and your device, either Xtractor or CK3 or whatnot is already set to the "on" position before powering up your PC. Didn't freeze at all and Jungle Flasher worked (for the first time) lol

To the peeps asking about homemade spear/probe tools, all you need is a tiny piece of conductive material (I used a piece of a paperclip) that you tape across the two r707 points and gently press to connect when necessary. It's not the easiest way but it's basically free. The trick is placing the material perfectly on the two points so that you don't have to fuss when applying pressure. It's also advisable to tape the board around it so that you don't end up making a boo-boo.

I should have clarified: this method requires no wires at all, just the two points connected as described. It is not necessary to connect your ck3/xtractor/homemade tool. I was confused by this as it seemed too simple not to have to make another connection.

I have a friend that needs his Liteon flashed. When he gets back in town I will try this method and let you know how it goes.

So let me get this right, you just connect those two points, then hook the drive up via sata and you can dump the key?

If you have a CK3 or Xtractor just do this, splice wire #11 on the power cable from the CK3 or Xtractor to the drive solder a safety pin to the end of it as a probe. It's what I used on my Xtractor and works perfectly, http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=669364

Then all ya gotta do is probe the R707 via during the read key's section and you're set.

A bit off topic, but.. I'm trying to set my calendar in Windows, and I was wondering if anyone knew when "early January" is. And if it's actually a range of possibilities, what would be the last day one could convincingly argue was still "early January"?

And on-topic: What happens if one doesn't use a ground wire? I think I've heard 50/50 on this item; half say it's pointless.

I would guess early Jan would be before the 10th. Much later than that and some will call it mid Jan.

I haven't heard much about the ground wire. It was in the schematic I used and figured two extra pieces of wire were cheaper than a new 360 and PC. I believe in better safe than sorry. Error on the side of caution.

I just set the drive on top of my case so that they were grounded.

It might work but if your PC case is painted it might not ground as it has to be metal on metal contact unless I am wrong.

yes would have to be metal on metal contact to form a ground, so if the pc case is plastic it is pointless.

Mid January in my opinion would be around the 15th as there is 31 days in the month,so theoretically mid means 1/2 way but this could be argued against :)

I have not tried it yet but hope to this weekend. Based on all the other methods this should not work however a bumble bee should not fly either but does.

    You're one funny fellow.

I agree, seems like that method would be the most preferred as it only requires a freaking paper clip to bridge 2 points and doesn't require a spear/probe for extraction.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

I'd really like to see or read about a successful extraction and thorough explanation proving that method.

Could [Big_Green] please send me a Private Message or provide a link to the original source of the information/method?

    Thanks

isnt that paperclip method that big green posted pretty much the same as the screw driver method the other guy posted. except he has swapped the paperclip for a screw driver?
