I'll add it to the Ultimate sticky shortly. The website name in the photos is fine i suppose as it's the OP's way of proving they're not pinched off someone else. So the whingers and whiners should see we're not against everything here..

    edit- added to Ultimate Sticky.

I thought I would add that you don't have to rename the .bin file to xbr.bin
I personally leave the .bin name the same and just copy and paste it into the cmd window so that I don't have to type it out. Renaming it to something simple does make it easier but so far there are 3 revs for the xenon board and there might be more so leaving them named as they are for archiving makes sense to me.

    Great tutorial by the way!
    Thanks

I have a few RROD boxes laying around and can't wait to try this! I just ordered most of my supplies from Radioshack (couldn't find any site to ship to APO addresses other than them initially) Just hope my soldering skills are up to par. I'll keep you all posted and wish me luck

    Two thumbs up manu.

One thing. What about making mention about 256/512 boards as there are command differences.

don't forget to remap any bad sectors if you have any. so the bad sectors of your good! dump must match those of the xbr image. the xbr image is off course bases on a nand without bad sectors, so don't forget to remap if your nand shows any (like mine did).

manu07 - Removed from sticky as you sneakily edited the link to point to a site that you and a few of your buddies have started pimping lately after it had been stickied.

Like i said to one of your fellow members here ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/827615/4994217

Again, I have to call you out here. (while the swapping the original posts I can see where you are coming from with that) It's seriously not fair for you to censor sites from only one website. Quite honestly, before you do anything like that again, I would like the admins to step in, and me be able to discuss with them.

If you're going to delete all external links to one site, then be fair, and do not allow ANY external links to any website. Like I said, the swap in you might be the possible grounds for editing, which if that is the case, then fine and you can ignore the previous parts of this post. But if you are specifically censoring only that one website, then there is an issue.

Additionally, I am still waiting as I see no one has responded to my post:

You and i (and the other Mods) can see exctly what's going on here. You want to take it up with the Admins, you're welcome to, no-one can stop you. You're not dealing with dumb people here, it's time you realised that.
You and i have previously been civil, so (apart from this just been the internet ie not real life) you should see that this isn't personal or anything, the point is more that it's nothing about censoring one site. It's about the one site in question being yours and the people posting links and tut's here just happen to be from said site.
I can't make it any clearer that it already was, as i say you're not dealing with dumb people here (far from it).

This is literally how it can be easily summed up ~

I've already stated that we don't disallow all external links, and as i keep saying (you're ignoring this because it's your own site) it's the coincidence that members from your site keep posting links and tut's that lead back there. Now obviously you and these guys are members of both sites, however you know how this works. No-one's knocking your site or anything, if you or your members want to post tut's or help here, do it/publish it here, you want to post stuff over there, don't link people back here (can't stop you doing that, it's your site, just let your site stand on it's own two feet so to speak).
Start respecting our rules or you need to leave, i'll wager your members have to respect your own forum rules.
Over and above that, feel free to take it up with the Admins, but stop 'calling me out' on this, to keep whinging on the forums is ridiculous, so either start respecting our rules or leave, but enough's enough already, we won't tolerate any more spamming of your own site, by you or any of your members.

Honestly, I still don't completely agree. And I have never said anything that any of you were stupid. So if any member from this site pointed to a thread/tutorial they made on Xbox-Scene or Xboxhacker that link would get taken down as well? Doesn't that seem counter productive?

I just don't understand and don't think it is right to take down a link if it is helpful/informative. Yes, if the link said something like, "join this, leave others... etc." then of course, that would make complete sense. But this, and all of these takedowns have not been that case.

I personally have really done nothing to promote that site, and I do not tell anyone else to do anything. You can ask them, it is their own decision. But I find it odd when the two other biggest scene forums welcome and appreciate the tutorials being linked to on their site (appreciate it being based off of the number of views and replies) vs here that immediately takes them down.

Honestly, it's just a thread. There's not any ads. No one is making money, just trying to help

I only hid it because i'm sick of wasted forum space on the same tired old arguments. I cannot possibly be any more clear than i have been, and the public simply do not want to see this nonsense. I'd already suggested you speak to an Admin yourself, i've asked the other mods to have a look at this as i'm not going to bang my head against a (virtual) brick wall any further.

Honestly, I am going to just have to disagree. And none of my previous points were addressed. I want all external links to be taken down (as you saw it is the rule) or I want all to be allwed. Not picking and choosing when to enforce the rules. If you/all mods will pick one way or another, then I will respect that. But this choosing when to enforce a rule is just wrong and an abuse.

Seeing as I do not know how to contact an admin, I am unable to do so. I have already submitted a feedback form to the site and have heard no response.

But until then, honestly, I expect the rules to be FAIRLY enforced. And either allow all links (unless they are obvious blatant spam[which no links in question are]), or take down all external links.

To also be fair, shouldn't he just be able to link to it regardless of where it is from?

The above comment shows you have no intention of hosting it here; you've been here two years and only fairly recently has stuff like this become an issue for you, just the other day you started advertising your own services, just after gameover9 (as you well know) was suspended for the exact same thing. And why has all this kerfuffle only started recently, because that's when you started your own site.
You were also requested to stop advertising via your signature at least once by me previous to advertising your current services.
There isn't any more to say on the matter and if i hide this again it's only for the same reason i hid it before, people don't want to read all this rubbish, we have rules, people follow them or they don't.

No, that is not answering any of my points.

This has become an issue since you all of a sudden are censoring sites. I've never been made aware of it before until I've seen it happen now.

Like I said, be fair, if you have this moderating power, enforce it fairly, on to everyone, not selectively. If the site being linked to is spamming by saying leave AD, or something like that, then I understand it's removal. But if a site is providing a good guide, then there is no reason for a takedown.

To say that *removed* is spamming in anyway, is just wrong. It's informative and tells you exactly how to perform a homebrew hack.

Either allow all (minus the spam discussed above) or don't allow any. It's just being fair.

Creaky you have gone above and beyond in this situation. You could not have made your point any more crystal clear.

    Closed.
