Hi, I am new to this. I have Coolsat 5000 receiver and had it working, but it just stoped working few days ago and it seems like i need to update keys and/or bin. Can you tell me if I just need to update the keys or bin also. Is following instruction correct to put new key codes into receiver? Turn on reciever. Enter 8282. Key Edit screen comes up. Box #1 will be highlighted with Nagravision in the box. Hit the down arrow (on the remote) below the OK button and move the highlighted area down to line 10. Make sure the keys in line 10 and 11 are correct. If they are keep hitting the down arrow until you are on line 20. Hit the down arrow 1 more time so you will be on the key line. Use the number pad for the numbers and the info button to change letters (each time you hit the info button it goes to the next letter). Please note that when you enter a number the cursor will move to the next spot. If you enter a letter you must move the cursor to the next spot with the right arrow key. Change line 20 and 21 to the latest keys. After you have checked the lines 3 times to verify they match the new key info hit menu and then YES to save changes. Then watch TV Thanks for your help in advance!
These are the same instructions I followed for my coolsat 3500 and it woked like a charm intill I grabbed the .bin file with the link I gave above.
