Hello everyone. I have purchased a new LG GSA-4166B drive and it doesnt seem to be reading anything i put on it. Being impatient as i am, i returned the unit for another one and still nothing. This is on WinXP sp2 516mb ram 1.8gh Athlon Proc. the drive is set as master on the sec ide port, on its own. it reads a disk and can display the content in Windows explorer but it will not run anything that is on a disk. Any ideas? tech support at LG is as good as... well, i better not say, it would be rude. any help would be appreciated, otherwise back to best buy with it. maybe i will try the HP drive... but this one has all DVD formats so it seems more convenient. thanks
hi are you saying its not automatically playing dvd's etc on insertion? set this in properties of the drive in my computer! also you shouldnt set as master if the drive is on its own! but this may be ok?
