    Hi mundens
    Txs for the heads up.
    When Nero 'offically' releases the next version I can't wait to see the version history. Still have a bunch of clean up to do.
    Maybe the next version they will finally get most of it right.

    It's still in Beta. Buggy as the previous versions. :(

    Hi,

    I tried this beta version and still audio synch problems with avi to dvd and mp3 skipping. Suggest staying with last stable version 7.0.8.2 or 6.6.0.18.

    Just to let you all know:
    InCD 5.5 can now write to plain CD & DVD-R discs and will even write to CD's/DVD's that have previously been writen to with Roxio D2D
    So far works like a charm.

    @PokusH
    Thanks for the heads up on that. While I no longer use InCD, it is nice to know.

    @gwendolin
    Seems Ahead (Nero) is now more interested in new versions (for the money) than a quality product. Seems a shame.

    Someday I will get to advance from 6.6.0.18. I keep waiting for them to clean up 7, guess I still have to wait somemore :(

    I'm using 7.0.8.2 and it seems good for what I do. I did have to do a repair install once. After that, all the little things were fixed.

    When I had Nero 7 in it seemed like NVE took a longer time to load than my 6. How come 6 runs good and they can't get 7 to do the same, they can't have made that many changes to the program to warrant all these bugs. Also, 7 gave me the skips in the CD's I have no problems with that in 6 either.

    I don't use NVE or write many CDs. So I really can't comment about how they work with the version I have. However, I agree. Seems quality has gone down big-time with their product. Maybe they're trying to put to many features into it and should just go back to basics?

    EDIT: Spelling

    I took a chance on this so called 7.5 version and so far it seems to be the most stable release. I have had problems with all other 7.X versions but this one seems to work perfectley. :)

    I am still holding off on updating my nero 7.0.8.2 . It works fine for me, and i distrust all new release of Nero until i see lots of rave reports on how good it is. More likely, problems will start showing up in Nero logs. Since many ppl use different parts of Nero, a bug might not show up right away. I guess Nero's habit of putting out new releases with new bugs, has gotten me paranoid about updating.

    I don't think it's being paranoid at all. Let's face it, Nero's track record, with bug free releases, hasn't been very good lately.

    Lol, Nero's track record since the introduction of 7 has not been too good :)

    Yep Nero 7's track record is pretty crappy.
    No more of the days when a new release of 6 usually was good for most users.
    Probably the only reason I still use 7 on 1 pc is for the animated menus when I do dvd stuff for my friends band. Adding their music and animated clips in the menu is pretty cool to them. Nice band promo thing. Other than that I could use 6 for what I need.

    The mp3 audio conversion still annoys me! I wish they could get that right in at least 1 version.

    I'll try the new one when it's offically released - no beta here though.

    I think what I don't like about 7, besides the MP3 skipping, is the fact that they did away with the Nero Media Player. I know they now have it intgrated into the program, but I liked it seperate. At least they could have given you the option of still using it, instead ver. 7 makes it inoperable. Just my rant :)

    For those who are interested, I saw my first 7.5 version log file 2 days ago.

    I think we all knew that it wouldn't be long before those 7.5 log files started showing up! Now, they're already here.

    lol - as long as there is bad media, firmware not updated, old drives trying to burn new media, dma off etc there will always be the failed burning logs from Nero & other programs :)
