http://www.nero.com/enu/Upgrade_InfoPage.php I'm very wary of upgrading to another version of Nero, now that I finally got my version to work. When I've tried updating and downloading to a newer version, everything seems to goe smoothly, but when installing I get error messages that .cab files cannot be found. Nero Tech Support, of course, thinks I'm doing something wrong; pop-up blocker, firewall, etc., but they're mistaken. I even took my computer to work and had the IT Dept. tackle this problem. Still, it failed. Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.
You might want to use the clean tool to remove all traces and then reinstall. Have you downloaded the complete version and installed it that way?
I've used the clean tool and I've used their registry cleaner. I've been back and forth with their tech support over this. I can't believe that I'm the only one having this problem. Maybe it is something I'm doing? I don't know.
Do you have a folder something like the one below with the .cab files in it? C:\Documents and Settings\your_user\Local Settings\Temp\Nero7.tmp\Cab\xxxxxxxxx.cab Is there anything that might be blocking the expansion of the installer, or perhaps they are being put in a different location? You are installing in XP, and not Vista?
