Bought a new Dell (my first) came with vista home basic, dont really like that so i want to put xp on it. xp had trouble recognizing all the hardware. I went to get drivers off the dell website and they had limited to choose from for xp. Can someone help me find drivers for xp so i can get this thing running. not too sure of the hardware in it but its a inspiron 531s desktop ps... vista finds all the drivers for it, just not xp
yeah, what you need to do is get the drivers from the chip set manufacture, not dell. Dell will tell you that they only support the OS that came with the computer. Look at the spec sheet for your computer, and it will list who made what. Then go to their website and dl the drivers needed.
