New PC powers up ten shuts down

    I put a new PC together this week end .
    Powered it up Bios came up for about 1 min. Then the PC turns off.
    not sure what to do.

    EVGA 680i MOBO ,Intel Q6600 ,EVGA 800GTX, OCZ 4 GB ram
    TL 750W PS.

    I had a similar problem & found out it was the heatsink, My problem was that the heatsink was no longer in full contact with cpu as it was loose & needed adjustment.

    Yes, it'll either be the CPU heatsink or the power supply most likely. Which brand is the power supply? I can't think what TL stands for.

    I am using a 750w Thermaltake Toughpower PS

    The exact same unit that I use. Probably your heatsink. Try reseating it.
