disconnect all data & power cables to drives. remove all cards & ram except 1 stick of ram & videocard. make certain the voltage selector is set to the right voltage of your country. check that the cmos jumper is in default/normal mode & not clear.

Take a quick look at your Front Panel I/O connections. (the small wires coming from your power/reset buttons on the front part of the case)

Remove the connection wire from the Power button pins. Turn on the power to the PSU...and wait for your board lights to light up. Now, take a small flathead screwdriver, and touch the two pin connections for the power button on your motherboard. Do this just for a second, as it's a momentary switch meaning it only needs to be connected for a second (or less) to complete the circuit and turn on the power to the motherboard. Your board should fire up right away.

This will tell you two things:

One, if the connection to the power button was loose, or you have a bad power button (rare, but it can happen)
    Two, a bad power supply.

    Hope that helps!

try the board out of the case as maybe a grounding problem. try another psu.

thanks guys i got it going ,when i wet to go try to do an out of case boot up it worked, then i put it bak in booted up and BeHOLd its alive .then later on my cat jumped up on the table while it was running i hadent closed the case yet i was leaving it open to make sure that every thing was fine while i was about installing my OS and when she did one of her paws landed in my case every single thing in my case shut of but my PSU and my case fan, i turned off and on my power swich to my psu everything but my graphics card fan started up ,so then i did it two more times and then ALAST it started up but now my moniter says "no cable connected" as if it was not connected to anything ,just to check if iit was my moniter i hooked up the moniter to my crappy dell pc and it worked .any ideas how i can solve this problem im guesin that all my parts are screwed, but the Mobo still runs and LED 1 and 2 are on,does this mean that my MoBo is safe ,is the graphicscard the only thing thats fried ???how can i chek to see if my parts are fried or not??....if this is a nightmare i better wake the hell up.

try another videocard like a pci not pci/e that you are probably using. disconnect all drives from motherboard & psu. reseat power cables to motherboard.

if fans spin but nothing on screen than bios might need flashing if it comes up to bootlock. check the can shaped objects on motherboard as they are capacitors, are they flat topped & not domed?

if board is under warranty than get it replaced.
