I just built a new computer and when i turn it on it powers up then shuts down after a minute or so. any explanations?
could be abything seems likes u hooked up power supply right check the hook-ups or check the harddrive and optical drive or memory take off a stick (might be bad)
Check the heatsink is attached properly - if it's an aftermarket heatsink, did you apply thermal paste? I've made that mistake before.
I'd point at the CPU cooler too. Shut downs are usually a sign of overheating. Grab the heatsink and wiggle it around a bit. I've had a few come loose after a while.
