I have just replaced my MOBO and HDD and am unable to get IMG Burn or XBC (using Nero) to burn. Neither program is able to get past the write in. I made the ISO's with XBC on the SH-D162c with v.81 on the current MOBO and HDD. I never had a problem on the old machine and I have never made a succesful 360 backup on the new one. I can burn movie ISO with Shrink and Nero no prob. So I know that the hardware works and at least one of the burning apps is functioning properly. MY FW is up to date and I am using Verbs.
    - XBC using the NERO method gives no error just says failed.
    - IMG Burn has released two errors
Session Fixation Error Writing Lead In
    and
    Power Calibration Area Is Full

I have made many google searchs and can not find anything other than change your media and change your FW which or not my issue.

Does anyone have any ideas of why I am unable to burn?

have you made sure that you have done all available update on the new system. Like make sure that you went back and download all of the windows updates. also see if there are any BIOS and other updates for your new motherboard.

The reason i ask is because my system worked great, burned flawless. Then i had to reformat and after that it would refuse to rip a disc. It could burn ok but refused to rip an original. Then after i did all my updates and reinstalled all my programs that just went away and everything has worked fine since.

Also go into the device manager and check the settings on the IDE channels under hardware tab, make sure it is set to use DMA mode. Just check all the little things and most likely you will find the problem.
