I notice now that the new games are larger and therefore more economical to produce on DVD are they still using the CD methods of copy protection ?? If they are then nearly all DVD copy software seems to be aimed at movies or tv production. For EG Far Cry is the first (as far as I know) of the new regime and is DVD only. I would be very interested in comments.
From what I've read the new games on DVD do, indeed, use the standard protections like SecuRom and SafeDisc. There's been limited success backing these up as long as they don't exceed 4.4GB. Metal Gear Solid 2 is supposed to be something like 7-plus GB which means a dual-layer burner is needed for it. I've yet to get a PC game on DVD, but folks have had success using BlindWrite5. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Gigabyte 8INXP, Intel P4HT 3.06 Mushkin 1024 MB PC2100 Sapphire 9800 Pro/M-Audio Revolution 7.1 Plextor PX-708A/Plextor Premium/LTD-166S "And we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."
