Please can someone help me, i have the new starview 4 and it works perfectly. had to change the nagravision a few weeks ago but its fine now. my brother just bought one and he lives in Navan, he has tried to get it to work and it won't, it says no signal, he has the same nagravision codes as me. Does he need different ones cause he is in Navan and maybe its because he is in a Coras area, i don't know. Any help would be very much appreciated. thanks
The boxes are only supplied with free to air firmware on them, it needs to be flashed. He will find what he needs in eamo's library, under any of the guys signatures e.g. scouser, karl, desb, HiTeck, noelyf, malci.
You need to make sure that your brother receives Ch**os digital cable and not MMDS, if it is Ch**us MMDS he will need a different type receiver, such as DVB/T type box - The Box-T or Eurovox TX.
Well it would be easier if he asked around (neighbors etc.) or does he know how the feed is, is it by ariel on roof or side of house, or communal, shouldn't be difficult to find out.
hi folks need a bite of help got super box 4 please hd but cant record and watch a other channel what do i need to do help??????????????????????????????????????????????
sv4 usb only has 1 tuner so you can only watch the channel you are recording,if you change channel while recording,it will record the new channel you are watching.
You need a twin tuner PVR the cheapest is the Starview/The Box PVR. Latest fixed firmware sorted out a few bugs so its not a bad box for what you get, but they are out of production but are still on sale in some places. The Dreambox 600 is another nice PVR or if money is no object a 7025 or later model. There are plenty of other dual tuner boxes but they are at a cost also. Otherwise for a single tuner PVR the Eurovox EX5100 has a slight advantage over the SV4. It allows you to record one program and watch another, but only if they are on the same TP, (share the same frequency).
Nope you need Sly+ for that or a new girlfriend lol Dont bin it as you can use it as a second box if you are going for another dual tuner type box.
thats was y secound box think ill go for the new girlfriend lol but dont tell her lol later on in the year might buy a euro box do they have a record and watch loop on them
Only as I said above Mark. To a point you can watch and record but only on the same TP. Meaning if you are watching say BBC at for example its frequency is 395.000, you can then only watch a channel that shares that frequency. Its not what you call a true watch/record facility but its a nice feature for a cheap single tuner PVR. Right that's me off for some kip, take care
