Hello, I have never modded anything before and I am going to get a mod chip for my ps2. I was readin the faq and other info and wanted to know what the best chip is to date. Is the matrix still the best? I My ps2 is the scph-30001 model will that be a problem? Any info is appreciated thanks.
Just make sure the chip says it will work with a V4 Crystal Chip Pro V2.0 Matrix Infinity green dot DMS4 Pro those are the best 3 chips out there. I checked for you and all of them work with a V4. also if you plan on installing yourself you may want to buy an install kit. And make sure you have very good soldering skills.
The CC2.0 has some really advanced features over the other to and I would as well put the quality of the CC's above the DMS chips, its really a shame how many clones the MI has, not to mention they are very good clones now. The SCPH-30001 can be anything from a V1-V5 but all the three chips listed will work with any current version of the PS2. Have fun!
