    HELP.. PLEASE!!!
Im in process of turning some dvds I own to divx. I take movies camping, and dont wanna take the originals if i dont have to.. too mucha chance of them getting destroyed. So, i thought if I could move them to a cd (.avi) life would be wonderful, and I've save my collection.
Anyway, I managed to get things to transfer to avi, to a 352 meg file. Im new, so i dont know if thats too small or not. but my biggest issue is that the audio and video dont quite sync right. What programs should I be using from the original dvd to get an avi that I can put on a cd. Id liketo get the whole movie on one cd.

Thanks for helping the new guy!

Thanks!! I'll take a look at that.
I tried ImToo and it seems to work ok.. but small screen res size. is that a trick to getting the "normal view" a bigger screen res then 352 X 288, and still have the whole movie fit on 1 cd?!

    Hi there,

    Have you tried SVCD ?

    http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/terms/svcd.cfm

But it might not fit on 1 CD-R !

Most movies I've seen in SVCD were on 2 CD-R.

And I was going to suggest ImToo Software also.
Only used it once in the past and it did an excellent job !

If you want .divx files, try the DivX create package, otherwise I would suggest AutoGK or FairUse Wizard to convert to an XviD avi.

Flask hasn't been updated in years. I wasn't aware that anyone still used it.
