    Hi everyone!!
After reading ALOT and knowing that opinions are just that, that persons' own personal opinion. I am clearly confused on what my options are for a flash card for the dslite.

R4<---Have they really stopped making genuine r4 cards now and just fake ones out there?
Can it really only support up to 2 GB micro card? I thought I read somewhere that there is a R4 revolution that can support up to 32 GB?

M3<-----is this the "newest" product for a flash option? Can it support AR codes?

Acekard<-----Can it support AR codes? What is the biggest micro it will support?

Thanks alot in advance, I am still learning and like anyone out there I want to make the best purchase for my ds. I am not that tech savy so it also needs to be somewhat user-friendly.

The 'real' R4 is long since dead. There are currently AT LEAST 20 different fakes out there of varying quality, which is largely the problem with them. Some of them are perfectly fine. They have all the modern features and even receive regular updates. Others are terrible, with poor game support and lack the ability to use microSD's larger than 2gb.

The trick is that you don't always know for sure what you're getting.

M3 is by no stretch of the imagination a 'new' flashcart. The M3 brand goes all the way back to GBA flashcarts, and they were one of the earlier DS flashcarts. That said, they are still one of the better ones. The M3 Real has excellent game compatibility, support for large microSD, supports AR codes, real time saves (for most games) slow-mo and GBA games (if you have the ram expansion)

The Acekard is another good brand. I dont know anyone who has one, so I don't know all it's features. But I know it supports pretty much all games, large microSD's and AR codes.

Thank you so much penguin for replying! I have since my post , done more research. Ugggg SO many to choose from!
I think we have decided on an acekard 2i.
I guess it is compatible with the dsi & dslite. So if we upgrade to dsi, then it will still be of use to us. I have a very impatient child that wants this here NOW! Wait until he sees that I have to learn how to use it HAHA

If anything, I feel a tad smarter than I did a few hours ago ~giggle~

Hoping I am making the right decision!

Thank you Lee&Melly, for making me feel more at ease with my decision. Is there a website anyone can recommend for "how to" guides for the 2i?

if it helps using acekard 2i with akaio firmare 1.17 1.18 is out i think you can update the card via wireless router for cheats and updates, works fine in ds lite, needs a patch run on it on 1.4 firmware (DSI ONLY) via micro sd card as nintendo updating firmwares now like psp.
