I just mastered the art of backing up dvd movie's now I'm moving on to doing games for my ps2. Sounds like I have to modify my ps2 to accept the backed up dvd's.

    I have a PlayStation2 (ntsc)(u/c) model#SCPH-39001 AC120V 60HZ 79W
    8 screws on bottom.

What modification would best serve my ps2 in price and quality?
Do I need a Decrypter to back up PS2 dvd's?

Let me know if there's any new products?

Thanks for that info line but it seems to be out dated. Started back in 2002 and last update in 2004. It's 2006 and I'm sure there have been some trial & errors since then and new products. Give me up to date information concerning new products, methods, data and dvd media.

Koo you seem to have all the answers... I havn't had anyone to give me an answer to this question maybe you could be of some help

PS2 SOCOM3 U.S NAVY SEALS...I tried to copy this dvd game with dvd decypter, dvd shrink, pgc edit, roxio but no luck they can't read it because there's no iso or they get an error.

What would work? or has worked besides dvd decrypter?

yes I selected ISO Read. The dvd im using is brand new, not scratch, no finger prints. Has anyone actually ripped a socom3 dvd or are they just assuming it cuz it worked with other ps2 games

Scorpionn... go to www.teammodders.com. They are experts. As for backing up PS2 games: I use DVDIDLEPro and BlideWrite. So far (banging the wooden block on my shoulders), so far all backups have worked well. The only Double Layer game that I've come across has been God of War, but that backed up just fine (albeit an expensive DL disc)

    Good luck.
