New to Video editing/transfering

    I want to take all my old video tapes and convert them to watch on my pc and burn them to DVD. i have a Geforce MX video card. what else do i need? and is the card i need expensive? what are some good brands..

    You need a video capture device, and the software to go with it.
    They range from $20 to $5000.
