    @ arniebear...

    when your trial expires on anydvd, are you able to dump and download again or does it remember your IP addy and not allow it, cuz mine says the trial is over?

    Gear79: If you got dual harddrives, which I have on 2 pcs,then you can use the free trial on each hard drive. I've used it 4 times,but did purchase it and it's an awesome program.

    They had a $5 discount at the end of the year.They often have $10 discounts to us members,so keep an eye out for it.

    5.7.3.1 is the latest update that I got. I updated twice within a couple of days! Lots of updates,very nice indeed.

    You can alway get DVD43 which will do the same thing, it just is not updated as often.

    Eventually I would recommend the purchase of AnyDVD though.

    Cheers.

    thanks guys, i have been fine with shrink, decrypter, dvd fab, and nero. so far, i have been able to back up all the harder movies no problem. even the cave was a piece of cake. i have learned all my goodies here and from everyone that is here.
    seen alkohols guides lately, that dude is one hell of a guy, and the patience he has with some n00bs...

    anyway, guess i'll buy anydvd this weekend.

    If you got to add a new program to your list, you cannot go wrong with AnyDVD, money is well spent :)

    Well worth the money! I leave it disabled until the need arises. The Cave, being the latest release that I have to enable anydvd. No trouble after I kicked anydvd in overdrive!

    arniebear: By the look of your sig,you've been checking out Ireland's threads!! Sweet!

    @ arnie, I have less than 100 posts to go before I get to addict. Trying to help as many as possible to hit the magic 2500!

    My keyboard is wondering what the hell is going on! Trying not to make to many useless posts, like this one, I don't wish to be accused of getting my posts in the safety valve section!

    There is a link I read from cdfreaks from slysoft that you may find interesting, read through the pages, SlySoft's people post there. Could do with this guy over at Afterdawn!

    http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=e0fab1e40f1cbfb4e26a03b559d86465&t=161843&page=2&pp=25

    This link to cdfreaks was on this forum somewhere, only thing is I cannot remember who posted it, so I cannot take credit for all of this stuff.

    @pulsar

    Glad to hear you are so near the magic number, I know my fingers were typed to a nub by the end, those last 50 were grueling. I too tried to do it by helping, using Safety Valve is too easy. But you got to go there to let off a little steam. Thanks for the link will give it a good read. CDFreaks has some good stuff. Early congrats to you, you earned it. Cheers.......... :)

    Cheers, I do not like to take credit where it is not due, also there is a newbie called blimpe2, who seems to be on the same track, in this thread;

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2/280830

    Not sure who is responsible, but it sure wasn't me!

    @ arnie, thank you for that, I would like to think I have helped a few on their way!
    Just waiting for all the posts saying exactly the opposite.......

    I know I get a bit het up at times & can be rather "brusque" in my acidic comments, but it is only as I am passionate about certain things.
