Looking for a new video card. My PSU is a 420W Thermal Master, they come with Coolermaster case packages. My budget is around $140 - $180 AUD. My computer is compatible is PCI-E graphics cards. Here is one I have looked at. Is it any good? http://www.mtechcomputers.com.au/pr...=3355&osCsid=d5b63d3ea12024d98e3dd9b21a5fbbd5 Please help! Theo.
So is it a coolermaster or Thermaltake PSU? To my knowledge 'thermalmaster' doesn't exist as a brand. That card is OK, but on that budget you can do a lot better. http://www.mtechcomputers.com.au/pr...=4895&osCsid=d5b63d3ea12024d98e3dd9b21a5fbbd5 This card beats the hell out of the HD3650 in tests. Get that.
The PSU says. "Thermal Master" Then underneath. "Certified by Coolermaster". I bought the case in a package with the PSU. So even though the 3650 is DDR3 the other card beats it? I don't really know much about graphics, still learning.
I can afford this. It seems better. But could my computer handle it? http://www.mtechcomputers.com.au/pr...=3639&osCsid=d5b63d3ea12024d98e3dd9b21a5fbbd5
I'm not sure, I've not seen a PSU like yours before, I don't know how reliable it is. To be on the safe side, I'd get one of these too. http://www.mtechcomputers.com.au/pr...=3136&osCsid=d5b63d3ea12024d98e3dd9b21a5fbbd5 Not cheap, but decent PSUs aren't. The 9600GT is an excellent card, but with the addition of this your budget's going to be a bit stunted.
Hmm. Do you know of any cheaper websites I could purchase the parts from? Thank you so much for all your help!
Unfortunately I'm not an Australian, nor do I often have to help out many Aussies, so I don't know any stores off by heart, have a look through Froogle and Pricegrabber though, see what you can find.
This will be my last question on the subject, sorry for bothering. But this graphics card has been dramaticly reduced. Which one am I better off with? http://www.mtechcomputers.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=3639_58_60&products_id=3204 http://www.mtechcomputers.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=3639 Once again, thankyou.
They're still the same card - the Asus has the better cooler so I'd stick with that. Still works out cheaper too.
