    Maybe he is talking about soft modding. It works. I did it to my Xbox to run a PS1 emulator and play PS1 games. You get 99.9% of the benifits of a mod chip for a fraction of the price and time spent.

    Guys, quick question (it seems like you know what you are doing!). I have an xbox 1.5 with the xenium ice solderless kit. I installed the chip after cleaning the socket with rubbing alcohol. All seemed to go well. When I turn on the xbox I get a red and green flashing on the eject button. Any ideas?

    Thanks for your time...

    If I'm not mistaken theres is 3 known errors
    dont remember the exact order, but I belive It was something like this

    Green = means hard drive error
    Red = means laser/ dvd drive error
    Blue = means Board error

    I know you can mod your xbox without opening it two ways. One is by using a friends modded xbox and the other is by using Action Replay. I used Action Replay. Use google for more information or visit the xbox-scene.

    I have a Xbox version 1.6 and it never gave me a problem.
